BORLA R&D Engineers have developed a sophisticated, unique exhaust for the 745i & 745Li 4.5L V8 for 2002-05. This system (PN 140130) is a true dual Cat-Back™ and incorporates a lead muffler that serves both to attenuate sound and balance pressure, similar to the X-pipes used on race machines. Augmented with two secondary mufflers and followed up with a rear muffler assembly, the system exits with two turned down phantom tips at the rear valence driver side. Among the amazing qualities of the BORLA system: With all the extra tubing and mufflers, this system flows an unheard of 300+cfm more than stock and weighs in at an amazing 21 pounds less than stock -- a true testament to BORLA engineering which also accounts for the performance gains.
